| RoHS Directive TPG is committed to protecting the environment and intends to be fully compliant with the European Union (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive by the July 01, 2006 deadline. We are actively engaged with component suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure that our products meet the restrictions for the following hazardous substances: The electric motors used in our products are already RoHS compliant. We are in the process of qualifying a plastic resin that is RoHS compliant. We are currently analyzing our electronics components used in printed circuit board assemblies with a major electronics supplier and our contract-manufacturing partner. We are investigating alternative materials for machined and stamped parts that are made from cold rolled steel with lead content. TPG has created a product strategy roadmap of RoHS compliant products that will fulfill the needs of all of our current and future customers, while promoting an environmentally responsible corporate mission. |
